Privacy Policy

Save to Tuck handles content only when you explicitly choose to save it. The content is delivered to the Tuck application running locally on your Mac and is not sent to the developer, an analytics provider, or any other third party.

About the Extension

Save to Tuck (the “Extension”) lets you save images, video, audio, selected text, links, and full-page screenshots from your browser into the locally installed Tuck media-library application.

Data the Extension handles

The Extension may handle the following data after you invoke a save action:

• Website content: the image, video, audio, selected text, link, or full-page screenshot you chose to save.
• Web history: the current page URL and page title, stored with the saved item as source metadata.
• Tuck library information: local collection names and identifiers used to build the Extension’s save menu.

The Extension does not monitor browsing activity continuously and does not log clicks, scrolling, keystrokes, or pages that you do not choose to save.

How the data is used

The data is used only to perform the Extension’s single purpose: saving the item you selected into your Tuck library. The saved content and its source metadata are sent to Tuck over the loopback address http://127.0.0.1, which connects only to your own computer.

When necessary, the Extension may request the specific media file you selected from the website that currently hosts it. It does not make unrelated background requests.

Storage and retention

The Extension temporarily stores Tuck collection names, collection identifiers, and the local connection port in browser session storage. This cache remains on your device and is cleared when the browser session ends.

Items you save remain in your local Tuck library until you delete them in the Tuck application. The developer does not receive or retain copies of saved items.

Sharing and selling

The Extension does not sell, rent, share, or transfer user data to third parties. It does not use data for advertising, analytics, profiling, creditworthiness, lending, or any purpose unrelated to saving content to Tuck. No account or persistent tracking identifier is used.

Permissions

Browser permissions are used only when needed to provide an explicit save action, capture the requested page, display save feedback, communicate with the local Tuck app, and keep the local collections menu current.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

The use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Changes to this policy

If the Extension’s data practices change, this page will be updated with a new effective date before the changed practices are introduced.
